Extracurriculars are not solely about imparting stronger professional skills and supplementing education. From strengthening the mind outside of the classroom to supporting a wider social circle, these life-changing programs have given me opportunities to spend time with others of similar interests, meet new friends from different cultural social groups, and gain essential skills in leadership and delegation.
Short-Term Summer Missions: Cambodia
STSM is a one-month program on an international ministry mission trip. Aiding long-term workers in helping to raise up national leaders (individuals from that country) for the ministry. The focus of STSM is evangelism and discipleship with opportunities for on-the-job training and personal development. Ministry in the context of a team, ministering alongside families, children, and national students.
University of Irvine: Koinonia Campus Missions - Staff
Koinonia Campus Missions exists to care for a collegian by discipling them to value the glory of God through local and global witness to ultimately benefit & build up the local church of Jesus Christ. KCM is a para-church ministry —‬ a ministry completely devoted to supporting and blessing the local churches around Southern California. They are open to all students regardless of their beliefs and backgrounds
Copa Vida Coffee Non-Profit Barista Volunteer
Partnering with Copa Vida Coffee Co, this was an exciting opportunity to provide the KCM ministry and the local people free drinks ultimately for the benefit of fellowship and gathering.
